With a refreshed schedule of sports, this year’s National Finals are not to be missed, as the top student athletes in the UK compete for gold.

With such fantastic sport on display, don’t miss the chance to inspire and motivate your students!

This year, our School Engagement offer is better than ever with tickets at only £1 per person on both Thursday 30th and Friday 31st August.

Friday’s events will offer educational workshops and a school activity zone, as well as the usual sports schedule which is available to view here.

For secondary schools, we have a range of workshops on offer to add an inspirational, educational element to your School Games visit. These are free when purchasing spectator tickets (be sure to do this first!) and we have shaped them around schools’ feedback. Click here to find out more and to book your places.

Primary schools can access a primary resource pack for free when purchasing spectator tickets. This pack is full of fun, focused activities to do with your pupils in the build up to the games and there will also be activities from the resource delivered on Friday 31st August as part of our school activity zone.

To pass the time before or in between your spectating and workshops, there will be lots happening in the School Activity Zone. Located on the astro-turf in the midst of the School Games action, the School Activity Zone will have a ‘health and wellbeing theme’ and include healthy living sessions, smoothie bikes and mini games.

The National Governing Bodies of the sports at the School Games will also be present, providing even more activities for students to enjoy.

One teacher, who experienced our School Engagement programme last year, commented:

“We took 23 Gifted & Talented children to watch the School Games National Finals in 2017. Some of these children will be aspiring to compete at this event in just a few years.

“The atmosphere around the games was buzzing and all the competitors showed inspiring characteristics throughout!

“This is such a great event for children to spectate at and we look forward to attending again in 2018.”

The students most definitely enjoyed their time at the National Finals, as school pupil Will said:

"Fantastic trip; we were able to watch a wide variety of different sports. It was great to meet a 'real' sportsman.”

Louise, a fellow student, added: “Going to watch the School Games National Finals inspired me to push hard and improve so that one day that might be me.”

Tickets for schools are just £1 per person, but you must ensure you use the discount code 2018SGYST when prompted to get this discounted rate.
