What’s your #BestOfSportSGNF moment?
What’s your #BestOfSportSGNF moment?
With less than 30 days to go until the 15th School Games National Finals, we’ve launched the #BestOfSportSGNF campaign to get anyone, and everyone, involved ahead of the big event from 01-04 September.
Over the last month we have seen some incredible successes, from the Lionesses history-making victory at the Women’s Euros to over 200 #SGNF alumni competing at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and taking home gold, silver and bronze for their nations… and we want to celebrate these achievements.
The campaign has been designed to identify and celebrate those ‘Best of Sport’ moments, whether that be showcasing sporting performance or hobbies and passions outside of sport, while linking back to the wider values associated with the School Games National Finals: passion, self-belief, respect, honesty, determination, and teamwork.
Earlier this month we celebrated British Wheelchair Basketball athlete Freya Levy through the campaign. Freya embodies our values of passion and self-belief. After being diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at 14, Freya plays Wheelchair Basketball for East London Phoenix, Wheelchair Rugby and Para Ice Hockey for Great Britain. On top of this, Freya is an advocate for diversity and women in the workplace alongside being a Michael Johnson Young Leader. Now we want YOU to get involved!
If you are an athlete at this year’s School Games National Finals or you want to get stuck in, you can! Just share an image, video, or story on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebookand tag us in. It doesn’t have to be your moment… feel free to nominate those you think have stood out from the crowd by showcasing School Games National Finals values.
Remember; don’t forget to use the hashtag #BestOfSportSGNF and pass it on to your friends by tagging them in your posts.
We can’t wait to see and celebrate your Best of Sport moments. Keep your eyes peeled as we’ll be reposting some in the lead up to the event!
