BMX Freestyle
This year will see a combination of two cycling disciplines across the three days of competition. A combined competition on the Saturday followed by a ‘Showcase Event’ for BMX Freestyle on Sunday on Shirley Pearce Square.
BMX Freestyle is one of the most popular disciplines of cycling that allows riders to be creative in their riding using natural and artificial features. In BMX Freestyle, riders perform routines consisting of sequences of tricks carried out on flat ground, in the streets, on dirt jumps, a halfpipe and/or on constructed ramps. In competition, riders are judged on the quality of their performance.
